DocFai Account & Data Deletion

Last updated: 18 August 2026

This page explains how to delete your DocFai account, what is deleted, and which medical records are kept in de-identified form because a clinician is legally required to retain them.

1. Delete From Inside the App

  1. Open the DocFai mobile app.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Choose Delete my account.
  4. Enter your account password to prove it is you.
  5. Tap Delete my account again and confirm when asked.

The request takes effect immediately. It is not a support ticket and does not wait for manual approval. If you use DocFai in a web browser, use the email route in section 2 below.

2. Delete by Email

If you use DocFai on the web, or can no longer sign in, email kamal@tizfai.com from the address registered to your account, with the subject “Account deletion request”. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we aim to respond within 30 days.

3. What Is Deleted

  • Your name, email address and mobile number.
  • Your profile photo.
  • Your national ID number and address.
  • Emergency contact details and insurance details.
  • Occupation and remaining address details on your patient profile.
  • Every access token on every device, so you are signed out everywhere.
  • Your push notification registrations, so notifications stop.

Your account is deactivated and can no longer be signed in to. Your mobile number is released, so you can register again later with the same number if you wish.

4. What Is Retained, and Why

Prescriptions, investigation results and medical journals are medical records. The prescribing clinician carries a legal duty to retain them, and they are also referenced by other people's records — a doctor's own prescribing history, or a parent's dependants. Erasing those rows would corrupt other users' records.

These records are therefore retained in de-identified form. After deletion there is no name, phone number, email address, photo or address left in the system tying them to you. Clinical values needed for the record to remain medically meaningful — such as blood group, height and weight — stay part of that record.

Retention periods follow the medical record-keeping rules that apply to the treating clinician or healthcare organisation. Where your clinic or hospital is the controller of those records, its retention policy governs them.
